Kyros Time

Deanna of spiritual Coaching explains Kyros time and the Law of Attraction.

Why Do Universal Requests Seem to Take So Long?

One of the perceived problems in working with the Law of Attraction is that many people become discouraged if their Universal requests are not fulfilled immediately.
we accept without question that when we place an online order, it may take a few days before the package arrives at our doorstep.
But, when it comes to a Universal order, we somehow think the rules are different.
The truth is that they really aren’t. The Universe just needs a little time to process your order, line up the energies and then ship the request.
Since we’re discussing the Universal time delay, let’s break down the difference between Kyros (Universal) time and Chronos (Physical) time.
Chronos time is chronological
Kyros time is timeless
“Doing one thing at a time, refusing to live an over-scheduled life, and making time for the important people in our lives will help us to balance the quantity [Chronos] and the quality [Kyros].

Spreading Moods

Kathryn Britton at Positive Psychology News Daily discusses the importance of sharing positive moods to improve task performance.

Social Contagion: Spiral Up or Spiral Down?

Kathryn Britton, MAPP, CPC, former software engineer, is a certified professional coach working with professionals to increase well-being, energy, and meaning in their lives. Visit Theano Coaching. She is writing about her experiences as a Positive Organization Advisor within a very large corporation. She recently started a blog, Reflections on Positive Psychology. Full bio.

Social contagion is a term for moods spreading from person to person. We are physically constructed to make this possible.
We pick up emotions from others not just because we see and interpret them rationally, but also because we experience them directly in the firing of our mirror neurons.
This ability to mirror other’s experiences in our own brains leaves us open to social contagion in either upward or downward spirals.
In the workplace, this is important because our moods contribute to our task performance.

How to Check E-mail Twice a Day

aww..man...you sucked the fun right outta of it
How to Check E-mail Twice a Day… or Once Every 10 Days

My personal e-mail autoresponder limits me to once per day and indicates “I check e-mail once per day, often in the evening. If you need a response before tomorrow, please call me on my cell.” My business e-mail autoresponder, on the other hand, gives me the option to check email once every 7-10 days.

IVAA in the News

As a volunteer with the International Virtual Assistants Association, it is a pleasure to work with Linda Selden.
'Virtual' assistants take on chores

As president of the Long Island chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, Doug Silverman doesn't have an office, nor does he have a secretary, a fax machine, a computer or even a drinking fountain.

Even so, he's still able to send out mass mailings, coordinate monthly dinner parties, update lists and keep his nearly 1,200 members up to speed on what's going on, despite having a full-time job that has nothing to do with the organization. He acknowledges it would be impossible without Linda Selden, his "virtual" personal assistant.

"Virtual assistants are the wave of the future for personal use and for businesses," Selden says. She lives in Greenlawn and is the incoming president of the International Virtual Assistants Association, which has more than 1,000 members worldwide. "It eliminates the expense of an employee for the business or individual. It also offers flexibility for the entrepreneur/virtual assistant."

Intro to Blogging

Valeria Maltoni of Conversation Agent gives a heart felt explanation of blogging.

How a Blog is Born

Masssocialmedia_3

How was your blog born?

t was August 2006 and I had just completed a full personal brand assessment to plan the next learning opportunities I should seek.
The brand conversation
Conversation Agent was born out of the idea that I have always been a connector - someone at the intersection of ideas and people, marketing and public relations, academia and practicums with participation as my contribution.
Lead by example
Be present and listen to your readers
Be generous
My philosophy on linking is quite simple - be generous, highlight good content produced by others.

Copy Editing America

I applaud this man. I think he hits the nail on the head when he said that mistakes breed mistakes.

I realize that a language is an evolving entity, but it still irks me when a word gets added to the dictionary (thus legitimizing it) because it becomes overused incorrectly.

Some of the littlest things are big to Jeff Deck, who is traveling the country in search of mistakes.

This 28-year-old Dartmouth graduate is crossing America searching for and correcting typographical errors in public places.

"The apostrophe shows up when it's not wanted and is never there when you need it," he said as he walked along Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, finding plenty of typos wherever he looked.

"I've always been aware of typos wherever I go," he said dryly. "I figured that it was a national problem."

It's all documented on his Web site for The Typo Eradication Assistance League (Teal).

He said it is partly a failure of education but also that people have stopped caring about spelling.

And, he said, mistakes breed mistakes. When someone sees "strawberry's" in print, they think it's correct.

"We try not to be jerks about it," he said.
It's just really about going after the errors themselves."

Evolution of the Internet

Jonathan Leake at Times Online explains "the grid."
Times Online

Coming soon: superfast internet

THE internet could soon be made obsolete. The scientists who pioneered it have
now built a lightning-fast replacement capable of downloading entire feature
films within seconds.

At speeds about 10,000 times faster than a typical broadband connection, “the
grid” will be able to send the entire Rolling Stones back catalogue from
Britain to Japan in less than two seconds.

The latest spin-off from Cern, the particle physics centre that created the
web, the grid could also provide the kind of power needed to transmit
holographic images; allow instant online gaming with hundreds of thousands
of players; and offer high-definition video telephony for the price of a
local call.

By contrast, the grid has been built with dedicated fibre optic cables and
modern routing centres, meaning there are no outdated components to slow the
deluge of data. The 55,000 servers already installed are expected to rise to
200,000 within the next two years.
